Since 1997, I have operated a private psychotherapy, consulting, and mindfulness teaching practice, often at the same time as working in a community service. I offer ethical, non-judgemental and trauma sensitive spaces where you can speak freely about whatever is on your mind. I have a breadth of experience in working with low mood, anxiety, grief and loss, burnout, parenting, ageing, cultural diversity and more. I have particular expertise in trauma, mindfulness, and the effects of chronic illness. A leader in the community sector, I also provide supervision, training, and organisational consultancy.
I am a psychoanalytically oriented therapist offering containment and a sense of spaciousness through regular appointments and ongoing relationship. I also provide short term therapies such as EMDR and sensorimotor psychotherapy for trauma, and mindfulness-based approaches for stress and mood regulation and developing insight.
It can be difficult to enter into psychotherapy with a new therapist so if you would like to be in touch we can have an initial conversation and decide together what suits you now.
