The thing about ADHD is that it's more than just difficulty focusing. It makes it difficult to feel present with those you love, can leave you feeling misunderstood, and doubting whether you are even good enough. Anxiety does the same. It makes you so tunnel-visioned that you lose sight of what really matters; the kind of person you want to be and the kind of life you want to live.

I am a registered psychologist with a Master of Clinical Psychology. Some of the things I help people with include depression and low mood, worry and anxiety, stress, grief and loss, parenting issues, problems with anger, and difficulty adjusting to change and new circumstances. I particularly enjoy working with people experiencing difficulties in their relationships (not just with intimate partners). I am curious about our early relationships and attachments, and how these might influence the relationships we have with both ourselves and others. I also have a particular interest in helping people working through perfectionism.

Feeling you need support outside of your family and friends? Not sure about changing some aspect of your life? I work with adults and older teenagers looking for growth or change in their current lives. If a trauma, or event has impacted you, we may understand why it's happened, but sometimes "why" isn't enough. Combining psychotherapy with somatic psychology, we can create the change and healing you are seeking.

I place an emphasis on a respectful relationship where thoughts and feelings are treated with sensitivity and honesty. I provide a supportive and relaxed environment, and believe that no thought or feeling deserves judgment in therapy. I enjoy helping people with anxiety, phobias, OCD, depression, trauma, problems with assertiveness, anger, behavioural problems, and relationship issues. I hope to offer people an opportunity to understand what is happening inside themselves that is causing their suffering, to build skills to regulate anxiety, to gain stability in relationships, and to heal and unlock potential.

Research shows that the therapeutic relationship (e.g., how well you get along with your psychologist) can be just as important as the work we do together. I think therapy should not be rigid and I try to emulate that. I have a very open and relaxed manner that I hope will allow you to feel comfortable in describing your situation. Pawfessor Morty (a Hungarian Vizsla) has now joined the therapy team, and he looks forward to helping you feel warm and welcomed too!
