Often in today's world, we get caught up in so many distractions on the outside that we are not always aware of our internal experiences. We walk around anxious and depressed, with critical thoughts of ourselves and others, and often live a reality that is separate from our own personal wishes and desires. I believe that therapy provides a safe space to step away from all the external distractions and focus on identifying and responding to our emotional world in the most open and connected way, which may have been too painful to do in the past.

Casey Anderson takes a psychoanalytic approach to psychotherapy. This way of working can be particularly helpful to work through unresolved feelings from the past and locate the hidden cause of symptoms; bringing relief from depression, anxiety, somatic disorders, and repetitive relationship issues.

As someone who had a lived experience of severe anxiety, I understand that little things can easily overwhelm you. Simple things can be difficult to do without expending so much nervous energy that by the end you feel so drained and exhausted. Sometimes to feel better and in control, or even to overcome, you might simply need a listening ear or someone to guide and empower you to make decisions or simply someone to encourage you on and push through, I may be able to help you with that.
