Stephen Nowicki, Ph.D., received his PhD from Purdue University and completed his clinical psychology internship at Duke University Medical Center and a Diplomate in Applied Psychology. He is the Candler Professor of Psychology Emeritus at Emory University where he was responsible for founding the Emory University Counseling Center and Help Line. A co-recipient of the Applied Researcher of the Year from the American Psychological Association, he has served for decades as a consultant to programs for neurodivergent children and adolescents in Atlanta and the State of Georgia. A dedicated mentor, he has won Emory’s Emory Williams teaching award.
