Stefan Leach, Ph.D and Jared Piazza Ph.D.

Stefan Leach, Ph.D., is a Research Associate in the School of Psychology, University of Kent. He studies when and why people feel compassion for animals, with a focus on how they judge whether animals can think and feel. He is a member and Consulting Editor of The Society for the Psychology of Human-Animal Intergroup Relations (PHAIR) and his work can be found in scientific journals such as Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Appetite, and European Journal of Social Psychology.

Jared Piazza, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer in Social Psychology at Lancaster University. He studies human moral decision-making, particularly as it relates to food and the treatment of animals. He is an Associate Editor at the Journal for the Psychology of Human-Animal Intergroup Relations (PHAIR). His work can be found in scientific journals such as Appetite, Cognition, and Social Psychological and Personality Science.
