Scheeringa has spent over 29 years researching, treating, and teaching about stress, trauma, and posttraumatic stress disorder. He founded a private clinic, Child Counseling Associates, started The Kid Catch Foundation, and is the author of The Trouble With Trauma: The Search to Discover How Beliefs Become Facts.
