Lieke van Lieshout, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition & Behaviour and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

She is a passionate researcher, who aims to understand curiosity and motivation from a psychological and neurocognitive perspective. She uses a combination of behavioral lab experiments and fMRI research to understand how and why curiosity and other motivational triggers (i.e. autonomy, relatedness and competence) are successful to improve our learning experience and well-being.
