Ahona Guha D.Psych

About

Ahona Guha, D.Psych, is a clinical and forensic psychologist practicing in Melbourne, Australia. She assesses and treats offenders presenting with a range of problem behaviours, including stalking, sex offending, arson, family violence, homicidal ideation, and general violence. She also works in clinical private practice, specialising in working with victims of trauma. She completed a doctorate in Clinical and Forensic Psychology at Swinburne University. She is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cognitive processing therapy for PTSD, and schema therapy.

Dr. Guha is deeply interested in exploring the complex factors that make people engage in behaviours that harm other people—and in translating this knowledge into the domains of everyday living we may all encounter—such as friendships, managing difficult people in workplaces, online dating, trolling and stalking. She also has a specific interest in helping people protect themselves from these behaviours and in supporting people recovering from the aftermath of trauma and abuse.

Dr. Guha wrote a book about understanding complex trauma and those who abuse, which will be published in February 2023.
