It's not easy for men to ask for help. First, we have to admit that what we're doing isn't working and we can't fix it. So, I know it was difficult to begin the process of looking for the right therapist. "Who do I trust?" Will he understand the challenges I'm facing? I've been in practice for over 16 years and have worked extensively with adolescent boys and men. My approach is simple. I give you a comfortable, judgement free place to deal with everything that is overwhelming you. Then we come up with a game plan and work step by step to find the root of what is causing your distress. Then we aim to overcome it.
Again, I know it's not easy to admit you need help. But, there is so much relief in actually coming in, sitting down, and knowing that someone is there to work along side you and help shoulder the load. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
