If you are a teen or young adult who is struggling (or an advocate for one), know that I have spent my career working with young people, and -for real-, I get it. Being a teen (or adult, honestly) is hard! My goal is to be compassionate and authentic (zero judgment zone), meet you where you are, and help you to sort out your experiences, make meaning of them, and build your best life. I especially enjoy connecting with those who are neurodiverse or who have experienced hard stuff. I'm a pretty big nerd/geek, and I am fluent in "gamer," & I am comfortable with modifying to create an environment that works for you.
I am person-centered and utilize skills from DBT, CBT, and solution-focused therapy. I can help you to sort through intense emotions and build systems and "a life worth living." I am comfortable with those who are exploring identity and spirituality, and l I can incorporate Christian faith into sessions if and only if that is something you desire.
I validate all on the gender/sexuality spectrum. I am passionate about equity and anti-racism and am constantly doing my own work so I can understand my own privilege and cultural lenses. I am passionate about social justice and love to learn about cultures and lives that look and feel different than my own. Reach out to me if you have questions!
