I believe that healing begins with a feeling of safety and comfort. In working with me, you will find a space that is open and welcoming. I am eclectic in how I practice, believing that elements of different treatment styles are appropriate at different times in one's treatment.
My practice is strongly informed by my background in mindfulness meditation. Having maintained my own mindfulness practice for over 10 years, I have personally experienced the power of going inward, getting below the mental 'chatter', and exploring the depth of self.
I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, having completed the 3-year training at Somatic Experiencing International. I have found Somatic Experiencing to be extremely effective in helping clients access their capacity for healing from various forms of trauma. I am also trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
