Peter Edelstein, M.D., is a passionate patient advocate, double board certified surgeon, and author of Own Your Cancer: A Take-Charge Guide for the Recently Diagnosed & Those Who Love Them. After graduating from Stanford University with Distinction, "Dr. E" received his M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident in the Department of Surgery at the University of California, San Diego and spent an additional two years training in the University's Surgical Oncology cellular research lab. Dr. E was awarded a Surgical Fellowship at the University of Minnesota and then served as the Associate Surgical Program Director at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Edelstein is a frequent speaker at venues across the globe as well as an author.
