Deborah J. Cohan, Ph.D., is a professor of sociology at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort. She is the author of Welcome to Wherever We Are: A Memoir of Family, Caregiving, and Redemption (Rutgers University Press, 2020). The book has been featured in online and print media, including Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Buzzfeed, Ms. Magazine, She Reads, Ravishly, Brandeis Magazine, and many others.
